The help and support to physical individuals in unfavourable living situations, besides financial support, is also provided by social services. The last chapter is dedicated to tax support provided to families with children, whose main goal is to increase take-home pay of the families from profit-making activities leading to decrease in the number of applicants for social benefits provided by state as well as the motivation to become included in the job market. The Bachelor's thesis can become an initial source for future analysis in the field of family policy in the Czech and Slovak Republic.
